Andre Johnson – Girls Head Coach

Coach Andre Johnson has been a Mathematics teacher and coaching in the soccer program at Salem High School for the past 12 years. This upcoming year will be his tenth year being Varsity Girls Head Coach. He has been playing soccer since he was nine years old. Coach Johnson’s prior coaching experience includes coaching in a recreational league at Stone Mountain Youth Soccer Association (SMYSA). Johnson is a 1999 graduate of Columbia High School in Decatur, GA. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgia State University and a master’s degree from Troy University - Atlanta campus.  He is married to Brooke Johnson. 

Johnson’s coaching style is about both mastery of both the technical and tactical aspects of the game. However, even more critical, is team chemistry and a sense of community. The goal for this year is that both teams will be to finish in the top 4 positions in the region and make the playoffs.
