SHS School Council Representatives

Faculty Representatives
Mrs. Jeannine Purvis

I am a proud mother of three children and have been married for over 35 years. As I begin my 32nd year of teaching, I recognize that teaching has been my purpose in life. I have had the pleasure of teaching in different demographics of New York City, Clayton and Rockdale Counties of Georgia. I have taught middle school and high school science and math. I hold teaching certificates in secondary science, ESOL and Special Education and administration. Education has afforded me the opportunity to serve my students in several capacities as classroom teacher, support personnel and as an administrator at Morrow Middle School (Clayton County) and at RCPS Open Campus. I hold two Master degrees in Secondary Science and Administration and a Specialist in Educational Leadership. As a teacher, building lasting relationships with my students, parents and colleagues have been my passion and this quote embodies my sentiments; "A Teacher affects eternity; He (she)can never tell where his (her)influence stops" by Henry Adams.

Ms. Diane Niemczyk

I have been a proud RCPS parent since 2003.  My daughter, Molly, a 2020 Georgia Tech graduate, was the 2016 Rockdale Magnet School Valedictorian.  My basketball-loving son, Ethan, is a sophomore at Salem.  I've been a jewelry and handbag designer since 1997, a Realtor, business owner, and teacher.  Without a doubt, the best investment of my time has been spent with my children.
