Prom 2018

Students, the 2018 Salem High School Prom "City Nights and Sea Lights" will be on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 from 7-11 p.m., at the Georgia Aquarium.  Please click here or see below for important information and the mandatory application, which must be turned in to Ms. Anderson in the counseling office.  Please contact Ms. Anderson for any questions.

Prom Ticket Information:

Tickets are sold individually and a receipt will be given upon purchase. All current juniors and seniors must purchase their own ticket. If you are bringing a guest who is a non-Salem student, you are required to purchase their ticket. All students must be cleared of all old fees from previous school terms at Salem High School prior to purchasing a prom ticket. CASH ONLY!!

Prom tickets will be sold during all (4) lunches at Salem High School and Rockdale Career Academy on selected dates. Please view the schedule and prices below.

Cost includes: Dinner, unlimited sodas and juice, dessert, music, favor, & more. Dinner will be buffet style.

Prom Tickets Sales:
Tickets can be purchased in the Counseling Department from Ms. Jones, Counseling Secretary, or Ms. Anderson, School Counselor.

Prom tickets will also be sold during Senior Row Night on January 18, 2017 and February 1, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

In order to purchase tickets:


OUTSTANDING FEES AND FINES: Example of fines include but are not limited to athletic fines, band fines, textbook fines, media center fines, lunch fines, etc. You will not be able to purchase tickets with outstanding school fines. You will be subjected to a price increase if you surpass each ticket price deadline. It is your responsibility to ensure that your fines are cleared. Please see Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Richardson for the clearing of your fines.

1. Students are not permitted to participate in Prom Activities until he/she have cleared all old fees
from previous school terms at Salem High School.

a. All students are required to see Mrs. Perry, Records Specialist, to be cleared of
textbooks/technology fines and Mrs. Richardson, Media Specialist, to be cleared of media center
fines. Prom clearance forms are located in the front office, media center, and counseling

b. All students must submit a completed (yellow) prom clearance form indicating that all fines
are paid/clear prior to purchasing a prom ticket or with their prom application.

2. Make Payment in Full Amount in Cash or Money Order.


DINNER: A delicious buffet style (4) course dinner will be served to all attendees catered by Wolfgang Puck. There is no need for attendees to stop and purchase dinner prior to arriving to prom.
Dinner will be served from (7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.).

PICTURES: Cady Studios will offer prom picture packages.

PROM KING AND QUEEN NOMINATIONS: (For Seniors Only) Please indicate your choice of Prom Kingand Prom Queen on the Prom Application. Nominees are required to be a senior here at Salem. Upon check-in at prom, seniors will cast their ballot for Prom King and Prom Queen. The coronation of the 2018 Prom King and Prom Queen will be announced approximately at 10:00 pm.

MUSIC REQUESTS: Write the title for up to 3 songs and the artist’s name that you would like to hear the Disc Jockey (D.J.) play. A compiled list will be given to the D. J. Inappropriate song selections will not be added to the playlist. Music requests will not be accepted at Prom.

PARKING INFORMATION: Parking is available in the Georgia Aquarium Parking Garage. The official
Georgia Aquarium parking deck operates 1,600 safe, secure, and well-lit spaces attached to the Georgia Aquarium. Covered and rooftop parking is available. Onsite parking is $10.00. Pre-paid parking is $8.00 and can be purchased with prom ticket. Limos are encouraged, but should be rented by the students. SHS will not be coordinating limos and is not responsible for any mishaps that should occur.
