RCPS High School Graduation Regalia Honor Requirements

As seniors come to the end of their academic career at Salem High School, they will proudly attend a formal commencement ceremony recognizing their achievements. Students who qualify will receive honors for their academic achievements, which they may wear at the graduation ceremony. These honors recognize excellence and high academic achievement and are an honor to wear.

Only honors received from academically focused school-based organizations will be eligible for graduation ceremony wear. Students are invited to wear all their honors and recognitions, such as those earned for athletics and/or from external organizations, for Decision Day and Senior Parade/Walk celebrations.

Nationally recognized clubs/organizations with chapters at the school will adhere to the guidelines outlined in their charter bylaws. If a national organization does not outline awards requirements, these clubs and organizations will submit their honor requirements to the principal for review on or before April 1, 2022 to be considered for inclusion in the graduation program and approved list to wear at the graduation ceremony. Failure to complete club/organization requirements and/or failure to submit the application to principal will result in the club/organization not being approved to wear the honor at the graduation ceremony. Honors include graduation cords, stoles, and medallions.
